BCBS FL State Employees PPO Policy help?

I have the PPO. I'm trying to get approved right now. When I called with the code number (don't know what it is, sorry), I was told they do approve it. How long did it take you to get approved from first submission? I was told it has to go in front of a medical review board. And who is your surgeon? I'm in Daytona Beach and thinking of Dr. Jawad in Ocala.

I have BCBS Fl State employees PPO, I called the other day to ask if they cover the WLS surgery and I was told they did ( didn't specify which one) but only if it was medically necessary. I go tomorrow to Dr. Seiloff's seminar on the surgery to begin my journey. If I fond out anymore I'll let everyone know. I so want this to happen, I don't know why I haven't done it sooner.
