Hello Everyone, I am seven months out I have lost 105lbs. I am very excited about the weight loss but I cant see it in myself. Does anyone have this problem? I mean according to the BMI calculator I only need to loose another 87 pounds to get to a normal BMI and I can believe it and I cant see it. So does anyone else have this problem or had this problem and got over it? Thank you Danielle Riverview Florida 356lbs 2/8/05 246lbs 9/22/05

Yes. The bes thing to do is take a picture and look at it objectively. You will know it is you. Also compare it to an older picture. Although after 18 months, I can see it, it is hard for me to believe that it is me. I still think of me as fat. It is hard to realize that the clothes I wash and dry and fold are really mine. That I can wear them. I know I do but still hard to know when I see them they fit me.

Danielle, I'm right there with you! I've had my picture taken every two months. Today was my 8 month picture and when I look at my pre-surgery picture I can see a huge difference. I also see a big difference when I wear clothes that fit me properly instead of the old baggy, too large clothes I wore for far too long! Keep up the good work. Rhonda 386.2 1/19/05 246 9/14/05

Definitely put on your old clothes and go stand in front of the mirror and then you won't be able to deny the change! A lot of us have had screwy body images post-op and it's something we have to work on!! Jan 240/126/115 (at goal size)
