Here I am Again !!!!

Hello everyone, I have not been on for a while, I have had some other medical issues to tend to, that and a combination of feeling so apphrensive about the surgery !!! I found out I had h pyorli so I have been taking meds to clear that up. My stomach was so bloated and hard I was very uncomfortable !! I am just so nervous about having this surgery. I know I want to because I have seen how this surgery just changes your life so much. I look forward to that without a doubt, but I am just scared as heck. I am driving myself nuts. I really need your guys support PLEASE.... I have medicaid and have considered Dr.Cox in Ft. lauderdale, but boy what a drive ! I wish I knew of a doc closer. I am just full of complaints - Sorry !!!! Well I enjoy reading about you all, take care and I would appreciate ANY support you all have to offer..Thanks ! Rhonda

Hi Rhonda, I understand your apprehension about the surgery and it is normal. It is major surgery and with surgery of any kind there is always an element of risk involved. There are also risks with the chronic illness of morbid obesity. I would encourage you to educate yourself, go to obesity help sites often and read profiles and the message boards. Ask questions..... HI Rhonfs, I certainly know how you are feeling. Been there, done that. I found the more educated I was about the surgery...all the tests, the pre and post op, the more incontrol I felt. The easier to make a decision, and feel 100% sure about it. Its an individual decision. Yes there are risks, but you have to know about them .
