Jan, I just finished reading your so called sermon on Dr J's site. I have to say that your words stuck in my head and I just cant shake them! (1) do I want this surgery and it's risks and (2) into whose hands will I put my whole life? I had to fight for over a year just to have Dr J as my surgeon. I would fight it all again if I had to! People gave me so much grief over being so picky about who did my RNY and I actually felt bad about it for some time. Now that its over, Im so greatful that I didnt give in to pressure and have it elsewhere.. Ive had a great recovery and Im off to a great start on my new life!! You called it a sermon- I call it great advise from someone who has been there!! Thanks for the visit at the hospital and all the wonderful advice you give on both this site and Dr Js!
