Cruising this Saturday

Omar and I leave for our Eastern Carribean cruise this Saturday. WOOHOO! It couldn't have come at a better time. So much crap going on right now. But I don't want to get into that because it leads to big pity parties and negative thoughts. For those of you that don't know, I won this cruise back in March. Omar and I attended the WESH Lifestyles Expo held at the convention center. There are always lots of raffles to sign up for all kinds of prizes. We just sign up, never paying attention to what we might win. About 2 weeks after attending, I got a phone call that I had won the grand prize, a 7 day/6 night cruise on Carnival's Glory. The thing that was really strange was that I got the call the day after my dad died. I feel as if he sent us the cruise as sign he was looking out for me and knew I would need something postitve to look forward to. Omar and I never really had a honeymoon and have been to hell and back since we have been together so this trip is much needed. He just celebrated his 1 year anniversary at work (Sears) after being disabled/homebound/unemployed for over 6 years and my 1 year surgery anniversary is on the 23rd so we have so much to celebrate and be thankful for. I hope all of my friends out there are doing well. I think about everyone often even though I haven't seen ya'll in awhile.
