G-Tube mysteries

I get my g-tube out on Wed thank God, It is amazing to see what drains out of that thing everytime I do it. Sometimes it is clear, and some times it has stuff in it, sediment or something. I can't identify it as blood but maybe some stuff knocked loose in there from being more active. Anyone else have similar experiences or know what the sediment is? I am calling my Doctor in the morning to ask whats normal.

Mine was green for 2 weeks. Then after I got the G-tube out the hole came back open again. Call your doctor and see what he says. Goos luck to you. Kat

The drainage is old bile and stuff. The hole heals up on its own, because it is an organ with good circulation and heals quickly. Don't sweat....its a helpful tool in the beginning, and maybe some day down the line if we need it again. You'll be much more comfortable with it out! Blessings, Tami
