Lap Banders in Jacksonville, FL

Hello everyone. Its a beautiful Sunday afternoon here in Jacksonville but I'm not outside on my laptop. I'm inside in the air conditioning feeling bad that I HAVE air conditioning, lights, food, and I know where all my loved ones are. Never in my mind did I think I'd ever see anything more horrible than 9-11. New Orleans is worse....much more area affected, many more people lost. But I'm here trying to take my mind off of it. I love this board and enjoy reading the posts. I'm usually in the lap band forum but clicked over here and thought I'd postto see if anybody here was from Jacksonville and if anybody here was from Jacksonville and having lap band surgery. LaWanda, So glad to see a lap bander. I live in South Georgia, but orignally from Florida. I have been looking into lapband and really wanted to chat with someone close to me. I have been looking at surgeons in Atlanta, but Jacksonville is actually closer. Do you have any advice for me. Do you rec the surgery? How has you weight loss been? I have ton of questions and would love to talk with you. Amanda
