Insurance help

I finally got enrolloed with Humana epo. It saids it will cover if medically necessary. I don't need a referral to see a specialist. What I dont know is who determines its medically necessary, your primary or your bariatric dr. By getting this plan I lose my primary dr because he is not in the humana network. I dont know if another primary will make me go thru hoops before he decides i should get the surgery.If anyone has any type of information please let me know. thank you

I see from your profile you had Vista - did they not cover the wls? My ex husband has Vista and he's trying to get me back by saying if I remarried him I could go on his ins and get my sugery!!! I have Cigna and I'm just waiting on their answer, I've already been thru the hoops, just waiting to see if they want me to keep jumping or not!!! I don't know too much about Humana but I will pray for you. If you want to email me privately I can tell you who my PCP is, he's been great support in this, and I can maybe help you with cardiologist and pulmonolgist, even psych that I saw.
