OH Members I need your help!

Hi Dena - I have UHC..I had the HMO and switched to the PPO thinking Dr. Overcash was out of network. I didn't call the HR Dept nor the insurance. I just went to the consult and processed it through. Due to my diabetes or former diabetes and high cholesterol and extensive history with my PCP regarding this...I got approved in 14 days. I was just in happy disbelief. Now Im trying to help a co-worker who just got turned down from having the lapband and he called the insurance and HR and they both said they changed the policy etc etc. I said to him - to listen to them - it's in THEIR best interest in putting you down so that you don't continue. You go to the Dr's office and have them "fight" for you!! You have enough issues with obesity and if you want the lapband you should get help in getting it. So Don't give up!!! Hopefully your PCP will help out with this. Good luck to you!
