Dear Amy, It doesn't hurt at all. It is a very weird feeling to have something in your body pulled out. A long time ago I had a d&c and while I was in the recovery room they pulled out the packing, I didn't even notice it was in there until it was gone. As for the Gtube, all they do is cut the stitch, deflate the balloon and out it goes. It's only an inch that is actually inside you. If you are worried about pain, take some tylenol or bring your liquid hydrocodone. Just have someone give you a ride. Let me know how it goes! God Bless, MaryKaye

The feeling for me was something between having an internal ticklish feeling and a mild cramp while they removed it. Not painful at all, just a weird feeling. Hope this helps! ~ trish

Amy, It felt like a little tiny snake slithering out. Not a problem at all and no pain whatsoever. I'd rather have a g-tube taken out then get a shot or have a blood test, that's for sure!! Jan

We'll for me being someone who works in the medical field I was freaked but, you really don't feel it while it's in you and the nurse suggested inhale and while I pull you exhale it felt weird but it didn't hurt.

It is not bad. Mine had been pulled partially loose so the skin around it was very inflamed from all the green icky stuff that had been draining. The worst part for me was the next day when I ended up in the ER with gobs of green stuff coming out of the hole. They stitched it up and all was good. Good luck to you. Kat

starting to feel better I only needed pain pills 2 times today. I am trying to wean off. I have had more energy the past two days and have found out that I have lost a total of 29 lbs (including 12 right before surgery).

Amy, I've had two at two different times. The first time I was WAY freaked about it, but it wasn't a big deal. The second time (a year later) I was fascinated and the doctor let ME take it out. (with her supervision) That was a cool experience! Good luck
