Joanie's Food Log-Wednesday
They are still having classes here, so I have to work. My daughter has no school/daycare so I had to bring her, she is such a handful. My husband was sent home though so it worked out.
B- 1/2 ham, egg & cheese on whole-grain eng muff (8g)
S- cottage cheese (11g)
L- Wendy's chili (21g)
S- Protein Bar (10-15g)
D- Chicken & salad (21g)
I have class tonight after work again so I may have a protein bar during the break and skip dinner if it will be too late when I get home. Hoping they will cancell evening classes!
Have a great day and drive safely if you must be out!
Carmen
Good Morning!
Here is what I am eating today:
B- Carb Countdown Yogurt, 12 gr protein
S- Protein shake, 20 gr protein
L- 1/2 of a Chicken Fajita wrap from Applebees
D- baked Chicken breast stuffed w/mozz.cheese, cream cheese and bacon. (Not low fat, for sure...but will just have alittle)
S- not sure of evening snack, I like to play that by ear.
Enjoy your Wednesday!
Anne
My kids were so happy that there was no school today either! We are going to take advantage and go sledding in a little while.
I had a really bad food day yesterday. I always post my food a day behind because I am never planned out what I am going to eat.
Here is my confession for yesterday:
B - smoothie
s- protein bar
L- here is where I started to get in trouble: egg drop soup, chicken lo mein and those fried noodle thingies with duck sauce (
)
s- mandel bread (very small piece)
D- pork chops and more lo mein
s- lf frozen yogurt
So, as you can see, the day started off innocently enough but lunch totally derailed me. The difference from pre surgery to now is that today I am right back on track and having a much better day so far. Also compartively what I would have eaten on a "bad day" before would have cranked up the portion size by about 5 times. I am not going to beat myself up over it but move on and have a better day today
Thanks for keeping me honest
Eileen

A bad day post op is still not as bad as it would have been pre op! Dontcha just love being able to put it all behind you and "start again"...I hope I can keep this up for my entire life..and not just 6 mo post op. I believe I have the right practices in place for a lifetime..but time will tell.
Congratulations are your success Eileen.
Hugs
