Question for Dr. Aranow's Pts.

1. How soon after you meet you rpre-surgery requirements (All reports are in) does the office submit to insurance? 2. Do they tell you when they submit, or just tell you when you are accepted/declined? I do not want to bother the office people...but I would like to know the time frame etc. Thanks!

They will tell you when they will submit your information. Once you have met your requirements, it isnt too long at all... When my paper work was submitted, I knew within a week that I was approved. Good Luck!! Beckie

Hi Kristin, 1. Lois submitted my paperwork to the insurance immediately after I met all of the requirements. 2. She told me that she submitted me first thing in the morning, and during the same day, told me that I was approved. Good luck to you!!! Lori

Once all the paperwork and appointments are done all that has to happen is that Dr. Aranow needs to check your chart. That could take anywhere from a day to a week. Once Dr. A approves the chart is when Lois calls for insurance approval. Depending on your insurance approval could take hours to weeks. I have connecticare and was approved in less than 24 hours. HTH. Keep on top of the office staff without trying to be a pester. Have you called to make sure all your reports are in? Sometimes reports can get misplaced or the office wont even know if your file is complete unless you bring it to their attention. Eileen

It took me a little longer as Dr. Aranow was on vacation for a week, so it took him some time to catch up. But once that ball starts rolling....it moves quick! Congrats!
