My Bloodwork results
I got my first bloodwork results since my surgery. I am heading towards anemia so they told me to get some OTC iron. I happened to have a MD appt with my PCP, so I asked her to give me a prescription for iron that won't constipate me. She gave me a script for Ferrinex...and I've been taking it for almost a week without problems! I hope it continues.
My liver values were slightly elevated which they say is normal for weight loss...but they will keep an eye on it.
The good news is that my cholesterol is 148 which is a WHOPPING 100 points LOWER than it was last year! I have never had my cholesterol below 200. I celebrated when I saw that!
My calcium levels were awesome. Everything else looked excellent!
I have not had a problem remembering to take my vitamins/B12 and calcium daily. I know some people struggle to remember it, I forget everything else, but I do remember to take these! Just dumb luck.

CONGRATULATIONS Ann!!
That was a great report for you. I wonder about the iron on myself also, as I went to give blood a couple of weeks ago and was turned away because my iron level was too low. Must be a side effect of the surgery.
You must being to the happy dance about your cholesterol also, that is remarkable!
Did your doctor think you were doing fantastic?
Keep up the GREAT work Ann - smile

Hey Ann
Can you bring your friends from Waterford to meet me at L M Support group on Feb 9th in New London at 600 pm ? I would love to meet your firends. Hope to see you there. Sorry I cannot make at Backus because of time since I am full time working mom.

Kathy,
I don't tire easily. I do however, start to doze off in that darned recliner around 10 pm every night!
I don't think my love of cat naps has anything to do with my iron level...it's just that I'm in that "retirement mode!"
I doubt that I will be going to the L&M group. I have conflicts on that night. My friend from Waterford who is going for the surgery is still keeping it confidential. I'll let her know about the meeting, maybe she will go. If she does, I'll tell her to say hi.
My friend Alisa, who had the surgery last month, will be at the Backus group on Thursday.
