When did you go for follow ups?

Hello all, I hope everyone is staying warm this morning! I love the winter. I truly do but i can't wait for spring. It has just been TOO cold in the mornings at the bus stop with the kiddos! Anyhow, I digress, as that is not what this post is about, lol How often and at what point did you all go for your follow up visits? Like for blood work and such. I am five months out and have only been to one follow up at 4 weeks out. Is this normal? I mean I feel like I am doing fine and such but just curious. Eileen

I couldn't agree more about the weather! I normally like the snow, but not this year! As for follow ups, I am only 4 months out, but I had a 2 week, 4 week and 3 month visit so far. My next check-up is scheduled for 6 months and that is when they will do labs. I did have some tests done after my last vivt, but only because I noticed I was bruising more easily than normal so they wanted to make sure all my blood levels were normal, which they were. Hi Eileen! I can't answer your ? because follow ups schedules for Lap Band and for RNY are VERY different. They've got a lot more to look after in a RNY patient thatn in a lap bander...so...I just thought I'd mentio that for you to keep in mind. I'm sure another lap bander will answer your ? though... best, Lisa C
