Peak Vista takes Medicaid and has Dietitians that can help with getting the 6 months diet/nutrition done. They are not official bypass people but you can get the 6 month issues done there at pretty much no cost or very minimal. As for exercise coaches. Not heard of Medicaid paying for that. But Medicaid does cover a Physical Therapist with a referral for a specific medical issue. I have been through allot of PT's. So I guess I can answer that one!! And a PT place that does take Medicaid is Memorial Outpatient PT.
Hope this helps. Let me know if I can help with anything else.

OK not sure if we are supos to do this here but here goes. In case no one has seen this yet. There is a Conference for Post Bypass Patents at Penrose on the 22nd. This is a group that go all over the Country doing this. Below is the flyer for it. I think it is awesome and I will be attending. If anyone else here here maby we can all sit together. Or at least put a face in person to some of our names. Anyway it is a all day Conference and looks real interesting and I just wanted to pass on the information.

I moved to Colorado from Ohio in Feb 2001 and have never looked back.
I don't think it gets THAT cold out here; I used to live in Chicago, right on the lake and there is NOTHING out here that is like that Lake Effect Wind Chill!!
Thing is, it will snow, the sun will come out and WALA! Melt!
We have had our share of wintery days, but it is nothing in comparison to back East.
It is a gorgeous area!
As for surgeons.....I am having my surgery done by Dr. Michael Snyder.
Here is the web site: http://www.denverbariatrics.com/default
Now, there are myriad of excellent surgeons in the area, but I chose him due to the many referrals I had from other docs.
You could run a search on these hospitals: Dr. Snyder is affiliated with Rose Medical Center.
Hospitals: Presbyterian-St. Lukes, St. Joseph's, Porter, Swedish, Sky Ridge...I am missing many! You could run a search on Bariatric Programs in Denver and get a good many hits!!
Come on over to Denver!! It's FABULOUS! I love it here!
Cheers,
Megan
This waiting is so hard. I've been doing my best in the meantime to do what I can on my way to healthy...but I sort of feel like I'm waiting for 'it' to happen, for my life to really begin.
Please, please keep me posted on your process.
Thanks, again, for getting back to me.
PS...I, too, am obsessed with this!
I loved colorado but hated the cold and snow....I know when I sold my snowblower I as leaving for good. I do go and visit a couple times a year.
Prices of houses are inevery range.
Schools are good Cherry Creek is better.

I am actually going with the Roux En Y Gastric Bypass!! I know, totally different than when I started this journey but after lots of thought, research, and more research, I decided this was the best thing for me. Even my hubby thinks it's a great idea.
SOOO Dr. Snyder's office will be going for Gastric Bypass approval.
I am still feeling up and rarin' to go; I have 3 more months on my Dr. Supervised diet and then APPROVAL and surgery!
How have you been?
