I also had my surgery at Kaiser Fremont. I had a wonderful experience, I had Dr. Chu. I would give Nancy a call. She is very nice, but remember the best angle with her is to kill her with kindness. I would keep calling every 2 weeks until you get your date.

Hemer is a very small group 2-7 people there is a group that meets in Moreno Valley on the 4th Sat of each month at the senior center on Fir AVe. there is usually 25-30 people

Time to celebrate March 2012 with fellow "losers"

THIS YEAR THE NOR CAL LOSERS' WILL BE CELEBRATING OUR 3RD YEAR OF SUPPORT, FRIENDSHIP AND FUN!!!
Who: Pre-op, post-op no-op, anyone who wants friendship and
camaraderie while on their weight loss journey and/or
maintaining their weight loss. This isn't a formal
support group meeting but a get together among friends who support
one another in their quest for better health. Of course it goes without
saying, our So Cal friends are always welcome too.
When: Sat. March 24th - 1:00 p.m.
Where: Coco's Restaurant Concord, CA (Back in the Sunroom)

Hello Everyone,
I am finally having my RNY surgery March 13th! I am also having my gallbladder out at the same time however my surgeon said that he is going to send a scope down to be sure that I do not have any gallstones in the bile duct! he says that it is very uncommon but he wants to do that to be sure there arent any because after surgery i cannot have a scope go down my throat. He says that if there are any in my bile duct he will not be able to do my RNY....I will be devestated if this happens but Im praying for the best and getting both surgeries at the same time :)

Dr. Dutta reviews his charts in a timely manner and doesn't let the charts sit on his desk. He usually gives them to the surgery scheduler within 2 weeks. I know that the surgery schedule is pretty full and there is a waiting list. Call and ask to speak with Nancy, the person who does the scheduling. She is the gate keeper and at this point in time, you will not be "bugging" them. She is very busy, so friendly reminders are not out of line. When you talk to her, ask to be placed on the cancelation list, so that you can possibly have your surgery, sooner than later. April is already booked from what I have gathered from people at the support group.
