Looking for a support group in or around Fremont

Hi everyone,

i am just beginning this process - have had my consultation with the surgeon and he has suggested i start attending support groups now.

Does anyone know of a support group in Fremont?

OK, it isn't Fremont, but we have a group that meets in San Jose that will be meeting tomorrow night, and you would be very welcome to join us. I'll be posting a thread about it when I finish this post. It's a group sponsored by Pacific Laparoscopy, but anyone is welcome. We are mainly a duodenal switch support group, and it would be a great opportunity for you to learn more about the DS, esp since Dr. Rabkin is going to be there tomorrow - usually he just goes to the big group in San Francisco, so this is a real treat for us.

    There are 2 that meet at Good Sam in san jose, very close to 880/17.  They are open to anyone,and have many different patients pre and post-op.   Various surgery types. One is run by a surgeon on the 3rd wed,of the month, and the other one is on the 2nd tues, and 4th thurs of the month. you can PM me for more Info we welcome new patients and will answer any questions you may have (if we know the answers that is!) The next one is thurs the 23rd at 7:00.
