Monica, I am pretty open about my surgery.  I will mention the surgery if I can't eat a certain thing or needing a certain vitimin for absorbtion.  I almost say it like the old phrase "I can't, I'm on a diet".  I did ask someone the other day if they had WLS.  I was waiting in line at Walmart.  What do you think of when someone puts a bottle of B-12 on the register??  I asked if she had WLS.  It really is funny.  She said she did.  We Both had WLS about the same time with the same doctor.  We even knew each other from back then.  The funny thing is we didn't recoginize each other from over a year out!!  As you are finding out...The mental side to WLS may be even harder that the weight loss itself.  Brian

just hand her one of your doctors card.. just kidding.  just start talking to her about anything.  compliment her on her shoes or clothing someday and see where things go.

Hi Monica. I so know what you mean. I see extremely heavy people and feel so bad that I want to say something, like "you dont have to live this way" but I just keep on walking. I have some clients that are thinking about WLS and since I've had mine they can put a face to it so its not as scary.   I know  how I would of felt is some one approached me with a comment like that.. I'd of told them to f&#$ off.. LOL well, thats me...  I did see you on "Split Ends" you are so pretty...  Hijack  Carlos you look hot!

~~ It's all fun and games, til someone gets hurt~~
