I NEED REASSURANCE........PEOPLE.....A WARM HUG......
Ok, I know, I know, but how long can this stand still take. I have been 280 lbs for almost 2 weeks now. I do know that when my skin itches, I am losing weight and it has been itching lately..........Just need a worm hug......

NEVER GIVE UP .. 355 higest, 312 WLS day, 135 current, no longer OBEASE,, lost 220, and IM AT GOAL!!!!!!
Welcome to the six-week (or so) stall!
Of course you're going to quickly pick up the swing of things again, and probably in no time at all. Doctors really do a disservice to patients by neglecting to mention a few of the important and aggravating stalls of WLS ... the two/three week stall, the six week stall, and so forth.
I very clearly remember thinking that my own surgery was the only one in the world that didn't "take," and that I had gone through all of this surgery for ... NOTHING! That was it! At six weeks, I was not ever going to lose weight again! Wahhhhhhh ....
But ... once my body had healed a little bit more, and increasingly recovered from the whole shock of surgery, of COURSE weight-loss resumed .... and YOURS WILL TOO! It's just that your guts are stunned and healing, so they're holding on to whatever they have, until they're feeling a little better.
Honest!
Don't stress, it will be fine! I stalled during weeks three and four; I was so freaked out that maybe this wasn't going to work for me! I think it has something to do with practically being in a state of starvation, and then when you add just a little bit of food back, you stop losing for a while because your body is so grateful to get that little bit of food! Little do our bodies know that we want to LOSE! Just my theory, but what I do know for sure is that virtually everyone goes through plateaus! You will start losing again in no time!

Anabelle...don't trip gf..if you are doing what the doc says....you weight is going to come off. I know discouraging because you want your weight off like yesterday.....but you have to remember that Rome was not built in a day and you did not gain your weight in a day either.
Your body is in starvation mode and it is thinking that it needs to hang on to every bit of energy it can get. Just hang in there...stay away from the scale. You will lose the weight!!!
