Topic: For Susan's Sherlock

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

We just came home from having our dear Sherlock put to sleep. It was time. Maybe beyond time. Words can't say how sad we are, nor do we know what to do to make it better. The old guy was with us through thick and thin for 15 years. Always the pain in the butt, but we loved him none the less.
I've spent the day laying on the floor next to him, keeping him warm and as comfortable as I could until Gary was able to come home. It's done. He's at peace, and I don't need to worry if he's going to get back up from falling any more.

God love you, Sherlock. We sure did

Tammy, I need to ask you something... I Need Advice on what to be doing exercise wise... I am getting kinda flabby, but I think with the right exercises, it will tighten up because I am young...(Maybe, fingers crossed)

I try to do sit ups to help my tummy out, and when I do them, my tailbone hurts super bad... It like grinds... Any other way I can make my tummy look good??? And my arms also...

I need like a little daily exercise routing, and I was wondering if you could help me out.. I am COMPLETLY Clueless when It comes to exercise.... We have a weight lifting system made from Gold's Gym, a rubber inflatable exercise ball, dumbells(3 lbs.) , a ttreadmill, and an exercise bike... What can I do on these...  Thanks Tammy!!!

OK......do your crunches on the ball.....do 3 sets of 25 if you can......

sit on the ball and lift the weights, do not lock your elbows ever!!! 3 sets of 10-12

the bike and treadmill are great for the cardio....a minimum of 20 mins 3 x per week

you may need heavier weights.....like 5 and 8 pounders.......do lunges holding weights (google lunges and you can see how to properly do them) there are walking lunges and stationary lunges.

start doing some pushups.....if you can not do them on the floor do them on the wall.....

using your own body weight is sometimes the best tool for toning and lifting

get some resistance bands.....less than 20 bucks at wal mart.....use them , they come with instructions, but you can also loop them around a stable sturdy object like a home gym system and step back while facing the object it is looped around, and holding the band in each hand pull back and try to squeeze your shoulder blades together....this works your chest and back. The bands come in different thickness which means different resistance.  Does that make sense??

Are you a member of sparkpeople??? they have exercise demos under fitness. They will show you proper ways to do exercises.

Do you know how to do DIPS?  google DIPS WITH WEIGHT BENCH and it should show you how.

Your CORE is what you need to work on....thats your abs and so on. Like I said crunches on the ball as many as possible.....I was doing over a hundred a day.

Go to Amazon and search for  BODY SCULPTING BIBLE FOR WOMEN and or STRENGTH TRAINING FOR WOMEN    Both excellent books.

Also get some fitness magazines.

remember.....never work the same muscles each day...alternate days. Muscles need a day to recover, repair and build up.  YOU WILL NOT BECOME A MONSTER MUSCLE GIRL.......that takes more work than what I have suggested and it requires a strict diet and many months of work. You will not bulk up......

let me know if you are unclear on anything or need more help.

Gary just got home, and of course sherlock is up and at 'em. Just like a car that doesn't make that stupid noise when you take it to a mechanic.

I'm sure the outcome will be the same as it would have been before Gary got home.

Oh Susan, how my heart breaks for you.....aside from being *****y I am a softie deep down when it comes to animals....I have cried since we talked. I miss my Mozart....he was an old chap, the well travelled cat I told you about.

Yes he will get cookies in heaven.....he will get unconditional love and lots of pets.

Maybe I am just emotional from not having any Coke, oh gawd maybe its PMS or menopause.....I am crying like a baby.....

Just snuggle with him and pet him and talk to him.......
