Anyone planning on changing things in the new year??

I usually make resolutions only to break them.   This coming year, I have decided first and  foremost to be a better child to my Heavenly Father.  Next, I plan to take some "me" time.  I have run my legs off this year and am calming down just after my granddaughter's upcoming wedding.  I was just looking back over the year on the weekends and there were only 2 weekends all year that I stayed home.   I gotta stop that.  This old body is feeling it.    I also want to lose the remaining 35 pounds I am hanging on to.  This must go this year. I also am trying to figure out a theme for next Christmas as far as gift giving is concerned.  Maybe doing scrapbooks for my children???  I don't know.  Any ideas???

I also want all my  kids home with me some time this year!!!  My desire is to have them all in the house at one time.  I would love that so much.

Well...I will stop my rambling and get ready for my class.  I love you all and wish for you all the best year yet in 2009!!!!

Good morning my friend.  Lucy, Torey, Allison and I are praying about some BIG changes!  BIG ones!  We have let God take control and we are under his leadership.  Lucy and I have also decided to slow down a bit.  We've been married 3 months today and we have run our legs off too.  Next, I promise to get these 20 lbs off!  I mean that........I will get them off!

I most of all, want to be a better Christian.  I want God to be able to speak to me and I not question anything He says.

2009 IS OUR YEAR!  Let's all rise up and take control of our lives this year!

I don't usually like to make resolutions because I never seem to follow through on them, so I think I am going to call them goals.  I have long-term and short-term goals.  My short-term goals are to work harder in school and put forth more effort than I have in the past.  I want to maintain a 3.5+ GPA and join the honor society (right now I have a 3.43 GPA).  I haven't put much effort into studying and want to commit to hitting the books more often.

I also want to lose that last 30-35 lbs and reach my goal weight.  I got refocused and stayed focused over Christmas and have lost two lbs so far.  I want to keep working my tool and stay on track.  Another short-term goal is to hit 150 lbs before my February cruise.  I am at 156 now, so that is a reasonable goal.  I half-heartedly started exercising in last 2008, I would like to find more time in 2009 to get more serious about exercising.  Between working FT and taking a full load at scholl at night...that's gonna be hard, but if I make a committment to myself I know I can do it.

Mostly importantly, I want to continue to develop new friendships.  I made some really good friends in 2008 and hope to continue to develop those relationships and develop even more new ones.  I am such an introvert and a loner, so this is not an easy task for me, but once again, if I make it a priority, I can make it happen.  I treasure the friends that I connected with in 2008 and hope to do many things with them in the coming year.

My long-term goals are to travel more to new places and have more new experiences in my life, to finish my Bachelors degree and to develop a deeper relationship with God and find a home Church where I feel comfortable.

I will help you work on some of those Sandi!! I will try to be a better friend to you in 2009, than I was in 2008. I will work with you while you work with me to remain focused and stay on track!
And I know that you are going to develop that deeper relationship with our Father - you've already opened the door and he's been waiting!! And that Home Church is there somewhere!
I wish I could visit some with you because I would. I just have to sing at my Home church and have those commitments. I wish you lived closer to me.
Will you and Bert (even Annabelle if you have her) join me for New Year's?
Bring a dish and we will be able to watch the best firework display on the Gulf Coast right from my balcony!
The Wharf is also having a free block party but I saw it on TV last year and it was wall to wall to wall people and I'd rather not be in that!!!

1. Have my surgery

2. Spend some time with Miss Mary

3. To meet some more people from the Board

4. To be ready for Grand # 5

5. To  relax and not let the little thinks take over

First and foremost is to be a better Christian and bring at least one person to Christ this year!
(I would LOVE to bring everyone I meet that doesn't know HIM to Christ)
I am going to spread HIS Word and LOVE by letting it show through me and my life.

I want to be a better wife, Mother, support group leader, friend so by working on the above I can accomplish all things thru CHRIST!!

I am going to lose those last 25lbs I want to lose because I have an amazing FATHER and he has given me this amazing life!

I am going to tell my Momma all the time how much I appreciate her and what a difference she's made in my life. She made 2008 even more amazing but I know God placed her in my heart to do just that!!!

I am going to pray daily for those who are mourning the loss of a loved one, our military, and those that are ailing, and for those souls who are seeking and lost! God knows each and every single one of HIS children and their needs.

Good Morning. I don't usually make a New Years resolution but this year I think that I am going to try. First and foremost is to spend more time with my babies and try and get closer to some of them. By that I mean distance. I am just not sure how this is going to work out, but it has got to be done.
Bobby and I were gone a lot this year and for the New Year I want us to be gone and travel more. We are thinking Vegas and California and another cruise with some friends.
I want to curb my shopping and  not buy as many clothes, shoes, and purses as I buy ever month. Yep I am clothesaholic. If that is a word.
My last resolution is to have another cosmetic surgery procedure. I want to get my TT done this year.
I know that some is attainable and some is not. But I am going to work on all of them. Especially the shopping and being with my babies.

My new years resolution is not to make any...never keep them anyway.  Just kidding,  have two resolutions:  1-- continue to improve my finances, want to be debt free in 4yrs when I retire.
2- change the way I look...want to lose this ugly poundage I have been carrying around for the past umpteen years...just waiting on the insurance company to approve the realize lap band procedure.
Anybody else have a new years resolution they would like to share? farmgirl58
