Where is everybody?
So glad I didn't have to go out this morning, I would have froze my Ribbit off.

I put cookies in my new cookie jar, hiding them from Maxie.LOL!!
Going to take Maxie to Dr. in the morning for his check-up.Then to the boutique afterwards.
Hope ya'll have a great night and a wonderful Tuesday. Love Ellen
It is still so cold!! I have a wool sweater that keeps me warm while I'm out and about. People might get tired of seeing it but I retrived it from Servpro... otherwise, I'd be in a T-shirt.
Tomorrow we have to spackle the house. Servpro doesnt do that since nail holes were not caused by the fire. Then, in the afternoon, I have to babysit the girls. Keeping kids in a motel room is NO fun at all. Hopefully, they will be ready for a nap.. I know I will be.
Do any of you remember when you just heated one room of the house in the winter with the old Deerborn heater? We still have two of them for emergencies. And do you remember putting a pot of water on the top of the stove to keep the humidity up ...and in most cases, my grandad shaved with the water every morning. Some folks would even cook beans on the top of the old pot bellies. I remember seeing the pot bellies in one of the rural churches that we attended of and on and in Seth Pipes's Grocery Store in Rio Vista, TX. All the men would come to town and sit in the store around the pot belly stove and tell wild tails and play dominos in the store. Mr. Pipes would make them a bologna sandwich at lunch and they would split a package of chips. I don't know what the cost was for a sandwich. I know that he also made chili in the winter that he sold in blocks.
Ok, so I am old and reared in a rural area.
We had church services tonight "ONE SILENT NIGHT"
Candlelight and communion and singing!
It was Great!!
I had a good time.. until cleaning up afterwards.. I dropped my cell in a bucket of water.
Oh well...
Enjoy that cookie jar.. make some coffee that will warm a frozen froggy up!
