Well, everyone one on all of the chat boards was correct.  I did go to see him about a revision, and he was the rudest, crudest individual I have ever met.  I am not sure how he actually has a business.  On top of it all, when I originally called, his nurse said he did do rny to ds revisions.  I asked him how many he had done, and he said "0".  But that he was fully capable because he was a great surgeon.  I figure if he has to tell me, then it prob is not true.  I have not been spoken to that way in a long time.  He not only attacked my weight, but my complete composition as a person.  I will never recommend his services, and I do believe Karma will prevail. 
I have called Dr. Husted many times, but only one return.  I have sent my records, and asked that they call to let me know they received them all, but no return call.  I suppose I will call Dr. Gagner on Monday. 

So sorry to hear about you being treated this way. Dont giveup you will find the perfect surgeon for you!!

Thanks for your support; I am having trouble scraping some up right now.  Seems friends/family just cant work up support for surgery.

HI! I am sorry that someone, especially a professional, would speak down or rude to you.  I had WLS with Drs. Miles and Schmitt.  My experience was good.  I liked Dr. Miles and felt he and the staff were completely supportive, encouraging, and professional. 
I don't know if he performs DS, but I hope you find a good surgeon who will treat you with respect and dignity.

Put it this way, in my small group of NADS (North Alabama Duodenal Switchers), there are 2 Facundus revisions:

NADS xMAS party (not all the NADS but this includes the two revisions):

L-R:  my mom (Smith in Atlanta DS), Beth (failed Facundus RNY revised to Husted DS), Trudy (failed Facundus RNY revised to Husted DS), ME--Dr. Ungson in MX DS

Dr. Husted is probably too busy with Trudy to return your call.  See how she looks kinda sickly?  That's cuz she's been in and out of the hospital since her RNY to DS revision over a year ago.  Revisions are tricky.  Facundus CANNOT do one!  He's hardly even done any DSs, much less REVISIONS!  Is the man INsANE???????  

Anyhow, think TWiCE, cut ONCE, people!  Bc/BS of AL FEDERAL WILL cover the Duodenal Switch!!

I agree for once. I am fortunate that I haven't had a truckload of complications like Beth and Trudy.
Facundus is smug and self righteous. Now that I am 5 years out I won't be seeing him again.

ok....now im worried.  i went to my initial apt with facundus, and he was ok, i mean he did seem a little smug, but he seemed confident.  should i be worried.  i have heard all good things about him as far as being a surgen...I have never had surgery, so i dont know what im doing as far as choosing someone...all i know is he came highly recommended.  

 

as far as im concerned, he can be as rude as he wants to me as long as he does the job right the first time!  lol.  i dont want to wake up and something be lost on the inside, or better yet, not wake up at all!

excuse you! what exactly is it that you are trying to imply?? and don't EVER put words into MY mouth. don't assume that you know it all miss leaann because you certainly do NOT! i am quite happy with my rny (and quite SUCCESSFUL too i might add!!) and i wouldn't have had a ds if it was the only weightloss surgery available! maybe it's what YOU wanted but it isn't what I wanted for myself thankyouverymuch! dr. facundus is a wonderful surgeon and i thank him profusely for allowing me a second chance at LIFE! now, think twice before you run your effing mouth about matters that are quite obviously foreign to you.
