Another Update on Son

Now that I have had a few hours of sleep I will give more of an "update."  Andrew was in surgery for 8 hours and the surgeon placed 18 screws and 2 rods in his back spanning from T2-L2. He had no complications during surgery, and had minimual blood loss.  Matter of fact, he didn't even require the unit of blood I donated for him. I came home last night about 9pm and his dad stayed with him in ICU. I just talked with his dad and he said that Andrew had a very rough night due to couldn't get pain under control.  Yesterday afternoon Andrew, with the aid of the brace, was able to get out of bed and sit in a chair for an hour, and then walked around his bed before getting back in the bed. Hopefully today he will be moved to the floor and then it will be time for MOMMY BOOTCAMP!  I will get him up walking when they cap off the 3 iv's in his hands...ouch. Anyway, I am about to head back to the hospital and will probably be there until he is released. Please continue to keep us in your thoughts and prayers.
