7 months post

I don't post often, but I have a concern.  I will be 7 months post-op on Dec 21 amd have only lost 90lbs.  Is this average? I feel that I am not doing as well as I should based on other postings.   I know I shouldn't compare my weight loss with others but sometimes I just can't help it.   I have went from a size 26 to a size 18 in pants and a 3xl to a L/XL in shirts.  I feel great and I think I look great.   I know that is all that should matter.  I guess, my fear of doctors is coming out.  I have always feared weigh-in and checkup because of trying to meet the doctors expectations.

Sorry for vetting and thank you for anyone who listened/read my comments.  I knowwhen I read your threads, I feel really encouraged.

Hi Eve,

90 in 7 months is an awesome weight loss.  At 7 months I recall I had made it from 280 to 206.  It seemed as if everyone else was taking it off so much faster than myself.  I only remember the amount because I had surgery in December and desperately wanted to be under 200 before my wedding anniversary the first week of June.

Your doing GREAT!  Relax and enjoy the process.  Don't set yourself up with comparing your weight loss to others.  You gained at your own rate and you will lose it this way as well.  Just focus on what you MUST do!
1.  DRINK YOUR WATER!
2.  EAT YOUR PROTEIN!
3.  EXERCISE!

YOU ARE FABULOUS!  YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL!  YOU WILL SUCCEED!

Blessings

Lisa

Sounds awesome to me...I am 6 months and have lost 80 since surgery and with my 10 before that is 90....I am sooooooo excited.  I could never have done this before.  I sometimes think that I am slower than others, and think that my Dr will think I am slow.  BUT I am happy with my loss.

Just keep working at it, and you will get where you want to be.
