Blame this on Randall
I need to LEAN!!
My fur baby Molly is gone. And I have bronchitis. So I'm down and can't quit coughing. Enough about me, though. I need to focus on Molly. She's a bloodhound and 10 months old. She weighs 70+ pounds. She's red with no distinguishing markings. I was trying to get her collar on and a leash and she saw a squirrel and never came back home. This was Sunday morning. I keep praying that she'll come back home. My boyfriend says she probably won't, that a hunter has got her. I know that if she can just get away she'll smell her way home. I've been up and down the streets close to me. I've posted flyers (still have more to put up) have called every vet in the phone book, and have placed ads in the paper and on-line. Will y'all please think about my baby and say a prayer for us and her safe return. Or safety and a good home where ever she is right now. She's probably one of the most loving dogs I've ever had the joy of owning. OK, this is just so depressing.
I hope everyone here is having a blessed day.
Love,
Gisela

Gisela..your puppy will be in my prayers. I am asking God to guide that baby home safely. Year before last, John and I were in Massachusettes and our Stormy was taken. We went out and called for her for a while. Around midnight, after she had been gone for a week, she returned home, filty and had a burn (like a rope burn) on her neck. I don't know who had her, but she found her way home. I am praying that your pup does the same. Please keep us updated. Also, I am praying that you are well very soon. Love you!!
I do keep praying and praying. I've walked enough roads close to my home to know that she didn't get hit by a car. Another prayer answered. And I was so hopeful until last night when my BF told me a hunter probably got her. Hunters just don't take good care of deer hounds. They are sooooo scrawny! Now I just pray that someone nice has her and that she's fed and loved. As sick as I am I probably shouldn't be out knocking door to door, but I can't let Molly down.
Thank you for your prayers. I hope she comes back to me like yours did. Her friend Bitsy just cries and cries. And everytime I go outside she comes running up to me.
Love you, too!

You've got my prayers, dear heart. I just can't imagine what you are going through. I had a cat who disappeared for almost an hour one time and I was inconsolable. If I hadn't found him...and that was only for one hour, so I can't even imagine what you are going through with her being gone for 3 days. Hopefully she will come home really soon. Where is Jackie Alldredge? Didn't she have a fur baby disappear one time and it was gone for a while and then she came home. Jackie, oh Jackie?
I'm sending up prayers for you and for Molly that she is having a good time wherever she is and is warm, well fed and happy and will get her butt home really soon.
Love and Hugs to you, my friend,
Joni

Hi Joni! It's so nice to hear from you, even during these times. I miss you! I'm very upset, but I'm just hopeful she'll come home. Hunting season/Christmas is a terrible time to lose a friend because you just never know. So many bad things that can be happening to her keep going through my mind. But there's a church down the road and I'm going to go ask the pastor to let the congregation know tonight about Molly. Maybe she got in a truck with one of them. She's that friendly and likes to ride...She didn't come home on Sunday, so maybe my prayers will be answered and she went home with one of them.
Love and hugs back to you,
Gisela

Gisela,
I'm so sorry to hear about Molly. Will keep ya'll in my prayers.
I am sorry you are feeling so badly. Something that stops coughing...sounds crazy but this lady in my office is home sick and she tried this (a co-worker shared it with us) and it works. Put Vicks VapoRub on the soles of your feet. She said she was coughing horribly at night especially so she got up and did this and IT WORKED. She has been doing it since and swears by it. I guess it can't hurt to try.
Feel better soon.

Thanks Connie. You made me laugh. That's a weird place to put Vicks, but you never know until you try it, right? I wonder who thought of that first? Can you imagine, LOL. What ever snuck up on me sure hit hard. At 3 am Saturday morning, my throat was a little sore. Then the throat got better, but my nose started running Sunday night. By the time I woke up Monday afternoon for work I was coughing so hard I could hardly talk. The doctor yesterday listened to my lungs and was sure I had pneumonia, they sounded so bad. Thank God I only had bronchitis! Plus my asthma has returned and I haven't had a problem with asthma since I was around 19 or 20.
Thanks for your prayers,
Gisela

I'm glad you were able to have a laugh with being so ill and missing Molly so much. I wondered who thought of that first too...we laughed at work when our co-worker shared this, but like I said, the other lady did it. She is home sick now and she said it does stop her coughing...she only does it when she goes to bed.
Take care of yourself!!
Take care of yourself!!
Even if you don't have her 'chipped" it might be good to say that she is, then the person would know that they cannot keep her. Then when and if you get her back, you do get her "chipped." My Rottie was chipped after the hurricane when I found out that the only dogs that went immediately back to their owners were the ones that were chipped. The dog catcher looks for that first. The vet checks that if there is anything suspicious about the dog owner.
I recommend that you chip any household pet that really means anything to you. It is a $35 one time expense to have the chip implanted and the dog is in a national data base. So if you lose it in California coming home to Alabama, the dog has an excellent chance of being returned.
