DR Facundus and Revision
I just got off the phone with dr facundus' office. I found out he will do a revision from RNY to DS, but she did not know how many he had done, nor how much it would cost. She said he would prob do it but that he would yell at me. Well, I dont need anyone yelling at me. I can take care of that myself, and I dont have to pay me. Has anyone had any experience with him and revision surgery? He did my original RNY and I was very pleased, but he did seem to be judgmental. I have posted on the revision board too, but any insight would be appreciated.
I would not want a doctor to yell at me.. I'm too good at doing that myself. While it might be in his best interest (and yours) to give you a "talking to".. after all, he needs to be sure you will be true to the surgery, he needs to be professional and yelling is not professional (in my opinion).
If you trust him as a surgeon, return to him because trust is one of the most important aspects of this surgery, but if you have doubts, look elsewhere for a revision.

There are a couple of people in this world, that if I watched them get hit by a car... I would drive away and not call 911. If found out that these same people were going to use Dr. Facundus for anything, any reason, any purpose... for even as much as a consult, I would personally pay for them to go see another doctor. I would not allow anyone that I know, know of, heard of, talked to or looked at use Dr. Facundus's services for any reason what so ever...
Think long and hard before you use this Doctor. Please... do you research.

No, he should thank god everyday of his life for his life. If a certain situation had happend to me, things for him would be different... And, if you knew me, you would know exactly how serious I am and what I mean. Karma is a bltch, he will discover that one day.

Dr.Facundus was my surgeon. While I did ok, there are many who have not.
Please, look into your revision elsewhere.
The last 5 years I have not used him as anything to do with my follow up care. I have had 2 hernia repairs, gb and appendix removal and a bad bout of diverticulitis. Dr. Facundus did not treat me for any of these conditions.
