Home at last
I was kidnapped by my dear son today. I had a doctors appointment at 10:30 this morning. I took the afternoon off and my son took me Christmas shopping. We ate a good lunch then shopped and shopped and shopped. Then he took me to see a movie (newest James Bond) Then we shopped some more. I know he's just trying to take my mind off my troubles. Hey, it worked. I'm not worried at all. But 10 hours of shopping is a little too much for me.
Now for the bad news. I have a growth on my thyroid. Saw a specialist today and I've got to have surgery. I will probably put it off until school is out in May. He said there is no emergency to it. Anytime a growth on the thyroid is at least 3 centimeters they take it out. Mind is already 5. As long as I'm not having trouble breathing or swollowing I can wait. My biopsy came back negative but with it being so large there is about a 10% chance that it is even with a negative reading. The left side is not functioning because of the growth. He also found a nodula inside my nose. They will take care of that at the same time they do the other.
