Cruise Update
Okay just to clarify some questions about the surcharge that is being refunded. I just talked to Carnival and this is what he had to say. Yes it is a true fact that the fuel surcharge is being refunded as an onbaord credit. That is very correct my planner told me. They also said that the head of the group was getting the emails. So that is why I got one I booked for the 4 in my group. Hope that this help clear up some confusion. If any of you have any further question contact Carnival and talk with them directly.
It looks like I opened up a can of worms by posting it the first time, but I was curious if I was the only one that had gotten the email. Next time that I get a surprise about the cruise I will keep it to myself.I just don't like some of the rude remarks that I have received.

I dunno about any rude remarks, I just know what they told me and my Mom, that it was still in debate and a decision was being made about that. I sure hope we get the surcharge back. I'm leaving it all up to Carmen. Thank God for her and her dedication and hard work!!

All I was reporting was what was told to me today. Today they did not say debate, they said we were getting the credit. I know that I learned a lesson and I will keep my good news to myself from now on. I guess the reason that you did not see the rude remarks was that you could not read my email. Randall I am not being ugly to you either. But just feed up with the crap.
I'll be the 1st to admit that I am wrong about a LOT of things. I know what they say about assuming too so I guess I goofed. I read that you 4 were a group. I just know that each group and most of the time each person, has a different planner. Planners never tell everyone the same thing as they are human like me. LOL I make my mistakes for sure!

Yep I also make mistakes a lot. But this surcharge applies to all of the carnival cruises. I asked so I know what I am talking about. I have talked to several different planners and have tgotten the same answer. The only reason that I posted was that I thought that everbody would be happy to know they were getting an onboard credit. My goof, did not know it would cause all this.
Randall...I had posted earlier, but I also received an email that was very rude so I deleted my post. What Alex told me was that we would receive an on board credit due to the refund. However, he also stated that in the event gasoline prices went back up, we might not get the refund. I did not get the letter until I emailed him last week and asked about it or I would have said something prior to that. We are gonna have a great time!!! I can't wait. Love ya!!!
Carmen it appears that some one has nothing better to do than send out rude emails. I got some today also. I was not attempting to step in and take your place. That is not what I was doing. Yes I am glad that I did post it as it seems that you were not even aware of the refund until I posted it. If one person is going to get the refund then they should have sent it out to all of you at the same time that I got mine. Sometimes I have found out that they give perks to some and some don't get them. From now on the perks that I get I will keep quite as it has caused to much crap.
