cruisers gas surcharge credit

What was the actual shipboard credit that was actual listed in the letter that was sent out.  All cruisers are to be given credit if you sail after 12/17/08.

Cynthia it will be $45. I have gotten a letter at least once a week.  I am keeping mine and will print one out to take with me just to be on the safe side. That way they can not say they did not know anything about the refund.

Hmmmmm...I am going on a different Carnival Cruise in Febrauary and I haven't been notified of anything like this for our cruise.  I will have to look into this.

Cindy a lot of us booked back in July. Being as it is a chartered cruise that might be a little different. I have been getting at least 1 email a week telling me that it had been dropped and it would be applied as on board credit.  I was not looking for a credit either but sure am glad that they decided to drop the surcharge. Wouldn't hurt to call and ask.

Just wanted to add that my daughter and her family just left on a Disney Cruise. They left on Saturday.  She booked this about 8 months ago. No one mentioned the surcharge to her either.  I mentioned it to her because of the post on this board about it. She ask them about it and got back over $100.  They may or may not have told her but I just wanted to suggest asking about it anyway because you never know.

I checked what I paid for fuel charges and it was $90 (for four people).  I don't what is a normal fuel surcharge to know if I was charged any additional amounts.  I do plan to call and ask.  It can't hurt to ask.

The fuel surcharge was $9/day. For our 5 day cruise next month my email said we would get back $45. All of the surcharges should be the same I would think. Ever little bit helps.
I meant to add, that is $45 per person for our cruise.
