Burger 'N' Bean Hot Dish   

1 lb ground beef
1 can barbecue beans - (16 oz)
1 can condensed bean with bacon soup - (11 1/2 oz)
1/8 tsp seasoned black pepper
14 tsp chili powder
1/2 tsp garlic salt
1 tbl instant minced onion
1/2 cup grated process American cheese


In skillet, brown ground beef; drain well.
Thoroughly combine all ingredients except cheese in crockpot.
Cover and cook on LOW setting for 6 to 9 hours.
Just before serving, sprinkle with grated cheese.
Serve over hot corn bread


Butterfly Chops and Potatoes   

6 med red potatoes - (or more) thickly sliced
1 lrg onion quartered, and
    thickly sliced
4 x boneless butterflied pork chops - (to 6)
1 pkt Zesty Italian dressing mix - (0.6 oz)
    Salt to taste
    Freshly-ground black pepper to taste


Toss potatoes and onion with salt and pepper; top with pork chops.
Sprinkle chops with dressing mix.
Cover and cook on LOW 7 to 9 hours



Chicken and Shrimp   

2 lb chicken skinned, boned,
    and cut into chunks
    Non-stick cooking spray
3 sm onions chopped
1 x garlic clove - ( to 2) minced
1/4 cup minced parsley
1/2 cup white port wine
12 oz tomato sauce
1 tsp basil
1 lb raw shrimp peeled, deveined

Coat frying pan with non-stick cooking spray and lightly brown the chicken.
Remove chicken to crockpot, and saute the onion, garlic, and parsley in frying pan for 1 minute.
Remove frying pan from heat and stir in remaining ingredients except shrimp.
Pour mixture over chicken in crockpot.
Cover and cook on LOW setting 4 to 5 hours.
Stir in shrimp, cover, and cook 1 1/2 hours longer on LOW setting, or 30 to 45 minutes on HIGH setting.
Serve with rice, noodles
