My son, Andrew is 16 years old, will have surgery on Wednesday 7 am at USA Children's and Women's hospital in Mobile.  Please keep us all in your thoughts and prayers. We all are very nervous about this, but worst of all, Andrew is totally freaking out.  As far as we know he will be in the hospital until Sunday, December 21.  If any of you are in the Mobile area and want to come by to visit please feel free to do so, or you can call my cell (hope it works in the hospital) at 205-533-4326. In case my cell doesn't work in the hospital here is additional information if anyone wants to call or visit.

He will be in great hands, as that is a terrific hospital.  I will keep him in my thoughts and prayers before, during and after his surgery.  How old is your son?  That''s a long time to be in the hospital, especially during the holidays.

Sandi,
I think that is the worst part because we are not familiar with the hosptial or doctor. I hope I don't have to show the "temper" to stay with my child during his stay there. I was told by someone who had a child in that hospital that they were asked to leave after visiting hours that the staff would watch the kids at night   If anyone knows about this hospital and how they do treat the families please let me know.  Thank you for keeping my son in your thoughts and prayers.  Yes, it is a long time to be in the hospital and thats a concern for him with it being Christmas.

Hugs,
Beth

Michele,
Thank you for praying for us during this time.  Thanks for the congrats on my graduation...glad that part is over!  I will not be able to post updates while at the hospital, so if I am able to come home while his dad stays a bit I will update at that time.

Hugs,
Beth
