Are you Cooking or are you not?

 Not that cooking...but, for you Corn we will take you as you are!

We go to my mother's on Christmas Eve.  I take finger foods there.  I will have BBQ, baked beans, potato salad and finger foods, red velvet cake, lemon pound cake, carrot cake and whatever my kids bring in.  My son in law usually brings something that is spicy to share with us.  He is a very good cook.  He also makes his own seasonings.  I will have bunches of candies, also.  (Thank goodness...I am almost through cooking for now.  I have to ice a carrot cake and I am done until next weekend.)

We will have what we always have.....chicken and German dressing, cranberry sauce, giblet gravy, English peas, sweet potatoes with marshmellows, watergate salad, relish tray, deviled eggs, Sister Schubert rolls, and pumpkin pie.  I will also make a coconut creme pie.  I will have assorted cookies and candies made, too.  I usually have coffee, tea, and fruit punch available.

I always cook and just about always the same thing.  However, it is fast and I don't mind doing it.

We usually do our gift exchange on Christmas Eve but this year due to Scott's long distance girl friend we are going to do it on Tuesday the 23rd.  I am doing seafood gumbo and chicken gumbo for the ones who do not like seafood.  I will also have some of the boys favorite Christmas goodies:  peanut butter balls for Tim, sausage balls for Scott, Chex party mix, tortilla chips and rotel dip, punch...don't know what else.  Then on Christmas day we will fry a turkey.  I will make dressing and Jimmy will make dumplings.
I passed a billboard today that said 11 days til Christmas....Oh my, will I get everything done????

Your MENU sounds like mine...I prepare foods based on request.  Each of the kids have their FAVORITE food I prepare.

You will get everything done...just like I will.  I have a good bit of shopping left to do! 

I'm sure not cooking. I will probably work. I've been invited to several different places but hate to horn in on a family affair. If I work they bring me my food so I don't have to fool with fixing my peanut butter and crackers. Now if I could just get somebody to come and fix my coffee I wouldn't have to do anything.
