DH does have a blood clot in the leg but it is in a small vessel and no threat of it going to the brain or lungs. He was sent home and told to have a warm compress on his leg and keep it elevated. He has an appointment with his neurologist Tuesday so we'll see how it goes.

Thankfully they didn't admit him I didn't want to even think about spending another Christmas with him in the hospital.

Thanks again!

Is he at risk for DVT's?  (yes, I am nosey)  Has he had one before?  Did they say how he developed it?
I'll continue to say prayers for your DH!

DH is on Aggrenox for thick blood but his levels were good so no real known reason why he had a clot this time. We're thankful that they didn't give him any other blood thinner otherwise it would cause us to have to postpone genetic testing to see if he has Factor 5. I knew it wasn't a deep vein or artery.. my brother was a hemophiliac who was overdosed on his factor and developed a blood clot in his leg.

It must be something about our church Christmas parties... last year he was admitted to the hospital for 4 days with TIAs. This year it was a 6 hr trip to the ER with our daughter. Maybe next year it will just involve a band-aid.
