"...that the lower the IQ score, the more likely a person is to be religious"

>>>"Whereas 90% of the general population has a distinct belief in a personal god and a life after death, only 40% of scientists on the B.S. level favor this belief in religion and merely 10 % of those who are considered 'eminent' scientists believe in a personal god or in an afterlife."<<<

>>>"Leading Scientists Still Reject God"

A recent survey of members of the National Academy of Sciences showed that 72% are outright atheists, 21% are agnostic and only 7% admit to belief in a personal God.<<<

>>>"Do You Believe in God?"

In multiple studies, there is a negative correlation between theism and morality.  By Franzblau's 1934 study, there's a negative correlation between religiousity and honesty.  Ross 1950 shows atheists and agnostics are more likely to express their willingness to help the poor than the deeply religious.  1969 Hirschi and Stark found no correlation in lawbreaking by churchgoing children and non-churchgoing children.

This same Skeptic published the results of another study that compared professions and likelihood of believing in God.  The general public was just over 90% likely to believe in God.  Scientists in general were just under 40% likely.  Mathematicians were just over 40% likely, biologists just under 30%, and physicists were barely over 20% likely to believe in God.<<<

WOW!  That's an interesting little view!

Considering that the forefathers of this great nation were very faithful people.  Look how far this nation has progressed with the leadership of people with low IQ's!

Be BLESSED

It is only recently that the religious right has tried the tear down of the separation of church and state.

Religious institutions that use government power in support of themselves and force their views on persons of no faith, undermine all our civil rights - Erecting the "wall of separation between church and state," therefore, is absolutely essential in a free society. -- Thomas Jefferson

It's great to blind yourself to the facts.

But I guess that comes with the turf when you accept fairy tales as truth.

I suppose you will now begin to expound that your IQ is so much higher than any of ours and so on and so forth.  However, if you truly are so enlightened and intelligent why do you feel the need to come to a lowly support group and attempt to dissuade us from our simple minded beliefs?

Seems to me you are of very little intelligence and simply pride yourself on being arrogant as well as antagonistic.

I pray that you truly do become enlightened and get past your own pride so that you may come to know the truth!

So sorry for you!

Yeah, if you consider holding two M.A.'s and a Ph.D. any indication of that sort of thing.

Talk about simple minded.

M.A.= MASSIVELY ARROGANT

P.H.D.= PILED HIGHER AND DEEPER

Oh and am I supposed to just have "faith" that you have all that you claim to have?

Wouldn't that be directly opposite to the very thing you are attempting to convince me of.  That I shouldn't just have "blind faith"?

Oh Draz......Try again.

I just love how the ignorant are so threatened by education that they have to mock it.

Don't worry though, there's always your little plastic Jesus you can turn to.

Simple, meet minded.

Draz....

While I have enjoyed our friendly little banter...I find that I have become bored.  However, I would love for you to visit again.  But, if possible could you try presenting your own ideas instead of "copying" and "pasting" a study written of someone who, Frankly...does not impess anyone!

Have a great Day!

Lisa
