Woot Woot!! VSG Day for me is 12/22/14!! Lots of us will be on the loser's bench!!
My RNY is this Tuesday, December 2nd. I am so nervous. I know there will be pain. I had cancer 5 yrs ago and had 11 surgeries in 9 months. So I know what pain is. I bought all my "food", vitamins and things I needed post op today. I can't wait to see the new me in 2015. Sorry if I am rambling. It's excited nervous energy. I put up my Christmas decor today and will be doing my wrapping this weekend as well. Not many friends know I am having this surgery. I am not posting that info on facebook. I am sure they are going to wonder why I am away from home for a week. I really hope that my choice isn't judged as "the easy way out" but rather supported. Glad I found this site to help guide and support me on this journey.
I am scheduled for RNY on the same day!! Crosses fingers toes and every appendage that we do well and have a healthy strong recovery! Keep me in the loop!
Hey there everyone! Hope to see and hear from you all about our progress and success!! I am having surgery on December 4th in Anchorage Alaska at Providence Alaska Medical Center with Dr. Grant Searles. I am an RN, work the night shift on in patient Rehab at the same hospital, live about 45 minutes away, have two teen daughters, a dog, two cats, a snake and a husband... live in a perpetually remodeling mode of a house... my husband is a carpenter... they say a carpenters house is never done... ugh! lol. I am very crafty and artistic and love the outdoors. I am nervous about my surgery but am keeping an open and hopeful mind!
