I start my 2 weeks of protein shakes tomorrow. I'm ready and excited!
My surgeon requires you to take a class. They went over everything. I had cold feet too. That was a week ago. She went through everything. There were 2 of us in the class and we were allowed all the time needed to ask our questions. I wasn't afraid of the surgery but the food change. I learned I can eat wherever my family does I just have to pick my proteins out. So even a grilled chicken sandwich at McD...I can eat part of that grilled breast. That set my mind at ease...I thought I was on boring shakes and bland food forever. Good luck on your journey and I hope you find the courage and the information to set your mind at ease.
Yes December 2nd, Tomorrow!! Nervous energy and excitement. I have been on the liquid diet since last monday and have lost 11 pounds just from that. I don't mind this at all. I am actually surprised. Maybe I feel better because all the toxic foods aren't clogging my digestive tract. I am so new to this place that I have no idea how to make the fancy stuff yet- like the tickers...but I am here with you and ready to join this journey with my fellow December WLS life changers
As we (the December babies) have our surgeries, we can post here. Hopefully we can learn from each other. I wish everyone a happy surgery!
I'm having sleeve surgery on Dec 10. Really only made my final decision last night.
Hello,
I am new to this site. I will be having surgery on Dec. 10th! I am so nervous and I'm starting to develop "cold feet".
