Hi there Karie, How are you doing? I have posted some stuff and by the responses, I guess people are busy with holidays and their new found selves. I hope your holidays were great and your family is fine, What is new with me well........... I am holding my weight of 132 lbs up down 1 or 2 pds. I am happy to maintain that. I am 5ft6 and that weight is fine with me. I am down -113 pds I have a new boyfriend and I think is here finally for me. He is 5 years younger and its like an has come my way. We met before I had my WLS. We enjoyed our holidays together. It was great. My health is good. I am beginning to digest food much better. I still can't eat much. Funny the crunchy cookies go down better than the food. The hernia has finally healed up since my surgery in September.I no longer have any pains. I do have constipation problems but some MOM helps me. Keep posting and take care Hi to all that just read and don't have the time to post & Lorraine

Hi Karie How did it get to be January 12th already? I have also been busy running here, there... and over there. I am so greatful for the energy I've been finding as the weight goes down, otherwise I think I would keel over in exhaustion. I'm now down 142 pounds, and just started training for a triathalon. My health club is having an indoor triathalon next month that my trainer has talked me into trying. It should be relatively easy, as there is a set amount of time for each phase and the winner is the one who has the longest total distance. I know I can do all the times. Who cares if I don't cover much distance, at least I'll be competing. Teddy (my new horse) and I have been getting along great. He is the sweetest guy. Last weekend I sat down in his stall with him and he fell asleep with his head in my lap. He's just like a big dog, but I can ride him. We're starting to jump tiny jumps, which is incredibly exciting for me. I can't wait for spring, and trail riding season. Gotta get back to work, Deb

Hi Diane. Love the Babe Ruth quote (and that's not only because I'm a Yanks fan!). Just stopped by to say hello. How are you and your weight loss coming along? Kim 347/152

Gee, it is obvious from our board that we are all so busy with our new found selves. I know I have really been running here in last 2 months. With being so busy I dropped like 7 lbs last month and already 3 lbs this month which brings me to -128 lbs lost! I have attended the training classes for Obesity Help support group leaders and am trying to get a support group up and running here in my area....I am excited about that. Well, thats all hope you all are doing great. Here is to a good year in 2005! karie -128lbs

Congrats...I just had my 1 year follow-up and I had finally hit the century club. I think alot of it was due to my hernia repair, TT and Breast Reduction on 12/7, but I have begun to lose consistantly again since the surgery. Which is a plus, I have been on a plateau for the last 3 months. My dr assured me that most of it was due to my large hernia and the placement of it, but whether it was or not...my plateau is over and it is just nice to be losing again. Boy, can I relate to that problem. My pcp told me not to take MOM on a regular basis as your system becomes accustomed to it and becomes dependent. So I am on Zelnorm and magnesium citrate. I take Zelnorm twice a day, and the magnesium in the a.m. An hour later, I go. But if I don't take either, I don't go and feel awful for the day. I suffered quite a bit with it. I'm glad to know MOM helps you. Try the magnesium citrate pills. It's a vitamin we need anyway. Nona

Topic: No More Constipation
Hi there to all my buddies here. Happy New Year again to all. Let me touch this subject that I think alot of you guys can relate to. I have been constipated from the day I was born. I seem to suffer much more now after my WLS. I have tried everything. You can name them all. My answer is Milk of Magnesia. I drink 30 cc every morning now and sure enough my problem is solved. I am one happy camper. Being constipated is no joke. . I asked my Dr about taking that little bit of this MOM everyday and he said it is OK. Most of the other laxatives give you loose stools but this is great. I am sorry about the conversation, but I am just sharing and think alot of you guys can relate. Have a great weekend..... & Lorraine

Hi there Diane, Happy New Year to you and your family I hope the New Year brings you all and more. I seem to be able to each much more now, but food is very limited for me. I fill up very fast. Its the crackers and junk that I have a never ending pit in my stomach for. I have to watch out for that stuff. I am still down - 112 pds. I am weighing 132 lbs and holding. I hope to try to maintain this for life. It seems so hard to do, but I will try. When I eat regular food I get that full feeling right away and have to stop, I know that I must start with my protein first. As far as the New Year I had a great time. I have a new boyfriend whom I adore. I hope is in the air for me. I have been seperated for 18 years. I am glad you are back and posting those wonderful angel postings. Keep up your great work and lets finish this wonder WLS journey, even if it's at a slower rate for us. OK? & and let the be watching over you.....Lorraine
