Your new avatar is beautiful!!!
I hear you it is soooooooo crazy - how QUICK the weight comes back on ...and we have to WORK so hard to get it off again.
It goes to show *us* we have to DO THE RIGHT THING all of the time (for me anyway!!)
My food addiction and emtional eating is a REALITY! One that **i** MUST TAKE CHARGE OF TO KEEP IT under control.
I HOPE YOU FIND GREAT HOME FOR THAT PUP!!!
Hang in there!!!
I am with you ... on liquids / protein today (for 3 days at least - I need a DETOX)

Valorie, - Sorry I didn't respond earlier - I was Spring Breakin'
I have never gone 6 days - how miserable but this is a constant issue for me.
I take benefiber at least once every day and twice if it doesn't seem like I've had enough fiber. I also take a stool softener every night - I have heard of people taking more but this seems to keep me good. The thing is - if I miss a day of either for some reason - I'm messed up for a couple of days. Hope that the problem has worked itself out.
There is a man that my surgeon had drink 4 oz of full fat milk in the evening and this worked for him - even when 4 stool softeners a day didn't do anything.

Hello Britt and other November buddies,
I didn't check in last week. We were on spring break. I work for the school system as a diagnostician so I had the week off along with my kids and my hubby. Well it was spring break and I broke! I had a little while without obsession but it came back with vengence.
I am starting a "time out" - all liquid protein today and will do it until I've removed the 6 pounds I've gained. I might just do it through Friday for good measure - then maybe I'll feel a litttle more controlled.
Cece asked about my dogs and I thought everyone might like to know. I have the foster dog plus my 3 right now. His name is Boo Boo but for some reason they have him listed on Petfinder as Billy Bob. He is a great dog. A little food agressive but that is pretty much a beagle trait. He is such a sweatheart. I know that we will be able to find him a great home. He is good with the kids - of course the youngest is 9 but she will bother a dog to death because she loves them so much. He doesn't bother my cat. He loves to be petted and have attention. Likes to sleep with me. He does the cutest thing sitting up on his back legs and putting his front ones up. He likes to chew on things but so far he has avoided shoes. Stuffed animals and any piece of plastic seem fair game. He is just a doll.
Starting weight: 358
Last time I reported: 149
This Week: 172
Gain this week : +5
Total loss = 186

Deidrah, every time I start exercising again after being away from it, I gain. I haven't exercised for awhile because of my injured hand and I LOST weight but GAINED a size! I'm going to start back, but I know it will cause me to gain weight--and I'm ok with that! I would rather the scale say a higher number than me wear a higher number!
Hang in there! You are doing the right things!

Good morning fellow November buddies,
Well, as you know, I recommitted myself last week to this new lifestyle. I have improved drastically in my eating of the right foods and stay away from the bad food choices. And I did so good last week, really sticking to what I was supposed to be eating. I even had two sessions with my personal trainer and two sessions of intense cardio. BUT, unfortunately, the scale does not agree....
Weight day of surgery = 312.4
Last week = 186.6
This week = 190.4
Loss this week = +3.8 (gain, ugh)
Total Loss = 122.0
Current BMI = 31.6
I am determined to have a better week!! I WILL stay focused!! C'mon, say it with me, stay focused, stay focused, stay........
Hope everyone has a better week,
Deidrah

Hi Everyone!
Happy S*p*r*i*n*g*
yippeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
Sorry, I wasn't around last week. As you know we had another week of *sick days* here ...so tiring.
I hope that all of you had a nice Easter (if you celebrate it). My daughters had a ball!!!! It is so grea****ching them experience the wonder of the holidays. They are so cute!!!
I finally got back to the gym on Friday, I was happy to be back, but I could tell I wasn't there for a week. It is amazing - how used your body get to exercise and how easy it could be to get out of your exercise routine. I am running another 5k this coming Sunday. I've inspired a few ladies from my support group to run their *very first run* -I am going to run right beside them and encourage them all the way to the finish line. I am running another 5k race in April and I will compete (against me) at that race.
This is going to be a rough week (especially today).... We had to find a new home for our dog "Spencer" (a shih-tzu) - He is not good with our kids. We have known this for a while and been hoping things would change, they haven't!!! My kids love Spencer - he doesn't feel the same - it is an accident waiting to happen. So we found a new home for him and she is coming tonight to pick him up. We got him as a puppy in 2000 and he was *our baby* once the kids came he wasn't a happy camper and only liked adults. Kids = less attention to Spencer.
I am an emotional eater and know this is going to be a challenging week! *please keep me in your prayers* I am determined to lose this week - not gain!
My weight is still the same. I have to go to my surgeon Thursday and see a *gain* on his scale. I NOT happy about that! But I *KNOW* I have to go.
I have made up my mind, to be serious and *get back to basics* I feel *gross* with these extra pounds on me and I have to get rid
of those lil buggers!
anyway ...enough about *me*
Tell me / us ....
How are you doing? What is going on? Are you on track? Off track? Exercising? Not? Happily Maintaining? Struggling?

Here we go ...
Starting weight 250.5
Last week = 149
This week = 149
Loss this week = x
Total loss = 101.5
Current BMI = 24.1
have a great week!
Stay focused & keep your eyes on that prize.
hugs,
Britt

Trudy,
I'm sure you are thrilled with the results! You should be! Isn't it a true miracle that surgery like that can be done to improve our lives so much? I don't think anyone without that overhanging pannus could ever imagine what it is really like. We could have lost more and more weight but that would never have gone away. I think my LBL was as much of a blessing (or more) than the WLS! Have a good work week, Trudy. What's the latest on the dogs? Are you still fostering the one dog?
