Just curious to know how much is everyone down. I was 305 day of surgery and I am now 254lbs. I think I am losing the weight slowly.

Hi Nikki, I have surgery November 6, 2006. I started at 319lbs and my current weight is 226.4. I have lost 92.6 lbs. Just remember everybody's body is different. Make sure you are getting your protein in. It helps. I also work out with a personal trainer, so my inches are coming down faster. I was in a 26/28 and now I am in 18. Be Encourage. Donna

Hey Nikki, I started out at 242 and I am down to 169 but I went almost a whole month at a stall. It happens and when it does, just kick up the water and protein, and cut back on carbs. Carbs are gonna be my downfall, I just know it. Keep your chin up and we are so proud of the weight you have already lost....you are doing great!

The day of surgery I was 287 and I am now 198. I too thought I was losing slowly compared to others but went to my surgeon and he was pleased a*****h with my progress. Keep your eye on the prize... all of us will get to the finish line, just not at the same time! You are doing great!

Hi Nikki. I think you are doing fine. It's so hard to not compare ourselves to each other but we all have different situations and our bodies respond differently. Check out Britt's thread each Monday for everyones progress. It's a great place to see just how different we are but we can also celebrate each other's success.

Hi Nikki, I had my surgery 11/29/06 and have lost 102#. I lost 44# prior-so a total of 146#...BUT-I also had a lot more to lose-and I am still 80# from goal and my scale hasnt moved for 5 weeks-I am on steroids-so believe that is the cause of the stall-but am hoping it will start to move again soon....everyone is so different-but I think you should celebrate the weight you have lost that will never be back-WOO HOO!! Congrats to you. Take care, Janet

Hi, now remember we are all different and the bigger you are the faster you lose. I started at 436...ACKK. I lost 24 on pre-surgery date, I am 282 today, and grateful. I have lost 154 pounds. I did not weigh this morning do to bloating from new med, doctor is weaning me from, then when I am on track will weigh. You have had a good lost too.

I started this at 296 lbs. I'm now at 204. I've been stuck here for a while and it SUCKS!!!! So close to the 100 lb mark and can't get there But my inches are dropping faster. I started this as a 26/28. Shirts are now a 14 and pants a 16, so that's good at least.

I too think everyone looses at a different pace. I have been amazed at my progress. I had my surgery on 11/14/06 I started out at 298.5 and I weighed 188.5 when I weighed in on Monday. I think exercising plays a huge role in this I strive for at least 4 days a week, I do aqua jogging 3 days a week and try to do a weight training session and yoga. Lately I haven't been meeting my goals and have really slowed down on weight loss. I think you're doing great and you must feel so much better I know I do. Deb
