Weekend Check-In

What's up with you guys this weekend? It's a beautiful day here. All I know so far is that I'm getting my hair and nails done this afternoon and then going on a date with my wonderful husband. I am such a DIVA these days! Hope you all have a wonderful Saturday!

I am heading out to Lansing in a bit to take my daughter to our church youth group (AWANA) olympics.... We will be out there for the afternoon then make the long drive back home.. then take a nap from all the excitment... LOL.... I wouldn't have done this a year ago..... I feel so much better about myself (even with the depression in full force right now)..... Shawn M.

Hi Wanda, Well my weekend isn't going to be as fun as yours...but... today were just cleaning tonight is my neice's birthday party tomorrow is church & tomorrow afternoon my 2 older kiddies are doing a crop walk (walking to raise $ for poor people to buy food) I will be taking my little one to the park & wait for them there. I went out for a test walk last night to see how far my foot would let me go...well it let me go about a block before it was throbbing, so no crop walk for me till after I have foot surgery...o well... Have fun getting pampered & then on date night...sounds fun..you deserve it.

Hi Wanda, Today was a run around and get things done kind of day. The weather is so nice .. I hopes it this nice tommorrow :0) It will be a more RELAXED kind of go with the flow day I am going to get a manicure / pedicure that is my little treat for every 10 pounds I lose. I too had a run around day. My hubby and I went and bought a new washer and dryer. The new front loaders that I have wanted for several years but couldn't justify them because my old ones worked perfectly. My oldest son moved out into his own place and needs a washer/dryer so guess who finnally got her wish! Can't wait till they are installed and operational. Britt, I think I will follow in your footsteps, pardon the pun, and get a pedicure for every 10 lbs. I think that is a wonderful idea and a great reward. Plus my feet are Horrible and It is getting to be sandal season. Have a great rest of the weekend. Val

Val, Come on and follow in my footsteps and treat your self every 10 pounds - it is nice - relaxing and as you said as a bonus your feet will be in great shape for summer sandals That is a perfect excue to get a new washer and dryer my mom and sister have them and just LOVE them .... but ... mine are working just fine *knocking on wood* for nopw so i'll have to wait. My date was such great fun. I always find my husband just looking at me. He says stuff like "You have no idea how pretty you are" or "you are so gorgeous" or "I am so blessed to have you in my life". I just love this pedastle he has me on but I am afraid that someday he will wake up and realize I'm just an ordinary person. Even when I was bigger he was so loving and attentive--but he is totally awe-struck now. He has really made the weight loss so much more fun because he celebrates every pound and every NSV.

wow.. just wanted to say that your husband sounds almost as fantastic as mine!! I too am afraid that one day he'll 'wake up' and realize that 'm just me... but its awsome to have the man of your life 'captivated' now... i catch him often just looking at me with such..... that i want to swoon... anyhow its great that there are other men out there like them!!!
