HELLO!!!!! I am also having surgery on 9/26!!! Everyone lets keep in touch!! I was told to lose 10 pounds prior to surgery!!! I have come too far to slip up now!!! I have been having lots of last meals lately !! After my birthday this weekend, I am going to put myself on a serious liquid diet even though my surgeon didn't. Wish me luck yall. This is gonna take some serious will power but I don't want to get my surgery cancelled or postponed, because I lose insurance coverage on 9/30. SO you know it is serious!! I have waited too long for this....I will go on the liquid diet with you Michelle if you want to post your progress here. Miss Virgo

Hi, Gladys! I have that same date. I could use some encouragement right about now. I am still excited about surgery but it is the pre-op liq only diet I am on until then. Are you on one? I just I could deal with it better if it were various liquids but it is only van or choc shakes( 5 a day). But anyway I will pray for you and pray you pray for me. God Bless. Sheneika

Well I can't beleive it's here.... 2 more nights... one more day (sugery 9/7) on this diet that's killing me (clear liquids and protein only)! I've done all the research, all of the pre-tests, I've talked to many preops... it's now in someone elses hands....I know I'll do well. I'll be glad to be losing weight so quickly. It doesn't take much to get my to cry... I think it's fear of pain and something going wrong, and of course all the emotions wrapped up in the body image issues we all carry around. I think that's the biggest part, actually being able to do something about what I've been fighting with (my weight) for soooo long. I can't beleive I've finally found a cure to this problem I've had for 30 years. All the suffering over the next month will be well worth fixing 30 years of pain (emotional and physical). I can't wait to HAVE to buy new clothes, the thought of something being to big is just hard to beleive. Hang in there folks, you'll all be in these same shoes soon. I'll talk to you all from the other side! Renee
