Happy Rebirthday Dee! Congratulations on the successful weight loss! I just look at it this way...the ******** who treat me differently...well I don't outwardly say or do anything about it...I just file it away in my file marked as "Those Kind Of People". I love my life so much now I don't want any negativity caused by another persons' shallowness to affect me or the way I feel. Just keep on keepin on...and keep shoppin! Mary Beth

Sheri, Do you ever drink protein shakes? I used to have one occasionally, when I needed a meal replacement or something like that. But I have become a HUGE grazer, and was fighting with gaining a few pounds back when I still have 30 to lose. A week ago, I began drinking a protein shake every day during my normal snacking start time. It cut my grazing dramatically. This week, I've been having two a day, and am having NO hunger issues at all. I find that I'm now eating less at meals than I was too. It took me awhile to find a shake I could tolerate, and I also learned to look at it like my vitamins... As something I had to do. Now I don't mind the taste, and actually like it ok. (Some people add sf syrups or shaved ice to their shakes, there are a lot of tricks out there to make them palatable.) Anyway, this is what has worked for me. Let us know what you find that works for you. Good luck, Lynn

Topic: My ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Today is my one year anniversary. I can't believe that a year has already flown by. Gosh, I remember being so scared to go through with the surgery, and so scared NOT too, all at the same time. I'm so thankful to God and to my surgeon for giving me a second chance at life. If someone would have told me a year ago that I will have lost 173 pounds, AND be pregnant, I would have laughed in their face!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Just the fact that I can run around with my 9 year old daughter now is wonderful, now I get to have another sweet baby, and be more active with her than I ever was with Katelyn. I go see my surgeon tomorrow for my 1 year check up. I will tell him that I'm pregnant, I hope he doesn't get too mad at me. Kim 400/227/170 EDD 4/25/05 7 weeks pregnant!!!!
