Hey Rachel-
First off you look great!!! Good job!!!
I am a year out and bouncing as well. Basically I need to get back with the program- Water Exercise and protien first. I kind of fell off the wagon and now that the scale isn't moving reality has set in and I need to get a kick start.
I have 2 smaller meals during the day and a bigger dinner. That seemed to be working great then stress at work and snacking...bad, bad, bad.
You will start losing again just have to modify...
A work in progress is what I feel.

Hi fellow Aug 31 babies!!! What are we doing for our anniversary? Being I'm pretty far away we can't do it together, but what are you two doing to celebrate?

Rachael,
I can't comment on your eating because I have found that for each of us it is very different. Some days I can eat like crazy and other days the thought of food just makes me sick.
I will say that I have spent the last 6 weeks floating up and down within a 4 pound range. I finally broke that pattern by eating more
I had been working out, drinking my water, etc. but realized that I hadn't been eating enough.
My surgery was the day after your and I am down about 120 lbs. I really do think that I've stopped, although I seem to be the only one who feels that way. Hopefully I am wrong!
Good luck,
Jen

Topic: RE: GOALIES
My doctors goal for me was 177 pounds, I made goal at 10 1/2 months...losing 150 pounds. I am now down below goal to 165 so a total of 162 pounds gone. I am still losing 1-2 pounds per week...thinnerself.com gives me a range of 146 to 156 as what I will stop at. I can't imagine that at all since I am already a size 6 or 8 jean depending on the cut.

Ya know...I was never told either. Right now I take in anywhere from 1000-1400 calories a day depending on how "good" I am with the carbs. Personally I would add more grams of protein. My surgeon recommends 1 gram of protein for every kilogram of weight once you get under a 30 BMI. To calculate this...take your weight and divide by 2.2046. So for me...I weigh 140...
140
x
2.2046
-------
63.5 kg
So...I would need 63.5 g of protein a day to maintain. I do try to get a bit more than that since we don't absorb everything. I think I average around 80 or so grams of protein a day.
Good luck Sunny! You look great!

Topic: RE: 1 yr post op question
I was told that 10x your weight is the number of calories that will sustain that weight. For instance, my goal weight is 140 lbs - 1400 calories with moderate exercise should sustain that weight. Anything more will cause me to gain, any less will cause me to lose.
I still have 20 more pounds to lose, and I'm keeping my calories between 1200 - 1400 per day. I'm stuck now at 160 pounds though, so I need to ramp up the exercise, or drop the calories to get the rest off. It's getting HARD now!
Blessings!
