My name is Debbie and my surgery date is August 6th, 2003. I'm excited and nervous at the same time. I'm going through with it though! Reading lots of good information on the website.

I have surgery date for August 11, I am scared but mostly happy. My main concern is I just started a new job and am not sure how to proceed with telling them, I am a very honest person, but from what I read here some people have very bad reactions to wls. I wish they could understand I need to do this for health reasons, not cosmetic!

I am so happy to have a surgery date of Aug. 5th, 2003, but gee, now the time seems to be standing still. My husband tells me that I need to pray for patience, but if I haven't had it in 43 years, why start now??

i am so excited As of August 14 I will be a new person. I was worried that it wouldn't happen before school started. but now I should be back in time for the first day. I am so excited!!Anyone going to San Diego Pacific bariatric on August 13 let me know. It would be nice to have a friend to share with during this. DH will be there with me too. thanks to all for the support.

I am posting here for the first time. I just recently heard that my sugery date is August 18th. I'm very excited. I'm a little nervous, after all it is major surgery. But I can't wait to start the rest of my life.

I am having surgery the same day as well...and it is the birthday of 2 of my friends...so has to be a very very good day for all of us..
