Hi Stephanie, I'm also have an August 4th surgery date. I live in San Diego and am having my surgery at Alvarado Medical Center by Dr. Clark. Lap RNY. A friend of mine had the surgery this past Tuesday and is doing great. Her only complaint is that it hurts to bend forward (to be expected). But she's not in any pain. I'm very encouraged by her progress and wish you a great surgery and quick recovery. I'll be thinking of you next Monday!! Hugs, Sally

Hi Lori, My name is Debbie and my surgery date is Aug. 6th. I'm excited with you!! I wish you best wishes in your days ahead. We are on our way. I have pre-op appointments this week. I think then it will feel like the day is really getting close. I started this journey in November when I got on a waiting list just to see the Dr. My appointments started in April and finished up in May. Then it was waiting on the reply from the insurance company! Finally I was told of my date the second week of July. Are you having to do anything special the week before your surgery?? I'm not, but I've read that some people have had to go on the liquid diet a week or two before. I'm from Denver, NC, not far from Charlotte, NC. Lets keep in touch through this!!
