You are still doing we'll girlie over 75 lbs is awesome..
I mean .. I think we all want to lose weight.. in a few months... but our weight gain took a lifetime .. meaning.. that is will take time to lose what we gain.. and learn to maintain.. I believe the lap band weight loss.. tends to be a little slower because you still consume all the fat & calories at intake... VS. gastric or DS. But weightloss average equals overtime to these same procedures. But on the bright side... you will complete your goal!!.. just not at the rate we want.. maybe you need make small goals..up to your 1 year anniversary.. meaning that way you won't feel like what you are doing may not be enough.. I made goals also and believe me some were met in my time frame & some were not.. so I made mini small goals like.. (jog for 1 mile in four months, walk 3 miles a day in a month, lift weights 3 times a week in a month, take my vitamins every day, lose 30lbs in 3 months, and drink 8 glasses of fluids a day(still forget sometimes LOL). Just remember our new life is a new journey, journey are not completed in a short time- and NO REGRETS GIRLIE!!!

Topic: to kick up the weight loss
My weight loss slowed way down in the last month or so.  Had to stop the exercise I was doing due to serious back problems and what with the holidays and vacation I just wasn't as serious as usual about keeping on track.    I was trying to figure out what to get the weight coming off again.  Last week I started adding 2 scoops of protein powder to skim milk - instead of one scoop to crystal light - and in the last 6 days I've lost 5.4 lbs.  What?  Wow!  Thats an added 34 grams of protein per day.  Instead of  70 gms  I'm getting 100-105.

Yes, I think it is important. Waiting a half an hour before I eat keeps me honest too.

Frequently I would like to eat without waiting the half an hour. But I find that after waiting the half an hour, I'm not nearly as hungry as I thought I was (the feeling passed) or I have the time to figure out something that is healthy for me to eat instead of just grabbing the easiest food to down.

I really do think that it does make a big difference.  I also noticed that when I feel like I'm stalling, and I write down all of my intake, usually the thing that is low is my water intake, so I up it by a few glasses a day, and the pounds start coming off again.  I know a lot of people that had the surgery in the last 2-3 years, and many of them are already gaining a significant amount of weight back.  I guess I try to learn by their mistakes---just because you CAN eat something doesn't mean that you SHOULD eat it.  They come back from their lunch breaks with big macks and drinking their cokes while they eat their fries.  I know I didn't go through all of this for nothing.  It's easier to stick to the rules from the start, than it is trying to break new bad habit, I think.

Thanks for the good reminder!

Girl... I can sooooooooooo relate!   I feel good about my progress to date but darn if I keep thinking about how "that girl" got to goal by 6 month post- WTF?   No matter how much we tell ourselves - just be happy..... we can't.   I'm sure once we get to goal - we'll be like.... oh......look at my skin, or look at my arms or my belly etc.   I need to stop looking for things to be sad about.... I lost a **** load of weight in about 6 months....I am happy about it.   But (of course there's a but) I haven't lost any weight in about 2 full months.  In fact I gained 2 pounds earlier this month (luckily they are gone now)....  it's such a head game I tell ya!

I shouldn't complain...with the weather, I haven't been to the gym in about 2 weeks my carb intake is out of control,  I drink while eating blah blah blah.

One day at a time....

Great post....

Hugs.

I was told by my Doc that you have to stop drinking up to 30 mins.. before a meal.. I also keep the regimen of  taking drink sips 5 mins apart.. my doc stated that I'm to maintain this rest of my life.. I also eat less by doing this because this called water loading... by drinking a couple of glasses between meals.. you will eat less.. and not have the thristies after a meal.. but I still usualy have a stall after two to three weeks.. usually around that time of month.. but I'm not complaining.. big difference from a size 32 to a 16 today.. I was dancing yesterday in OLD NAVY.. got a cute maxi dress.. in a Large.. But you are doing awesome LAURA!!
