Where are you headed in CA. I live a few miles from LAX. Did you grow up here? I think I have most of my shopping done. DH and I are meeting after work to get some more shopping done. I started wrapping some gifts yesterday but have lots more to do. I used to leave it all for xmas eve so I am doing good. 21yo ds and his girlfriend are coming over to help me make candy tomorrow night. I need to buy the supplies today. My Dad is having xmas dinner at his house. My neice is home from Iraq and we will all enjoy getting to spend time with her. I would like to have xmas eve with my MIL but if I do that my DH still invites her for breakfast xmas day. So I learned just to invite her for xmas morning so I don't have to do everything twice. I have my sisters dogs this week. A pug and a chihuahua/pomeranian. We have 2 ourselves so we are full of dogs. She will probably not come and get them until xmas day. She took my neice to Tahoe for the week. MichiGirl

I'm all shopped and wrapped... just counting down the days! We'll be having Christmas Eve with my mother-in-law (God, give me strength!). Christmas morning we get up however early the little ones decide is appropriate... about 5AM last year... and open gifts just the 4 of us. We do brunch at my brother's (next door) late in the morning and then have Christmas dinner with the whole family at my mom's (also next door) in the evening. Not a huge distance to travel, but I'd like to stay home and let my kids play with their toys for once. OH WELL! Have fun in California!!! Traci
