Welcome back
Pam, aren't these storms wonderful (LOL)...
I really hate weekends, they are my worst for accountability...Going on a cruise next month and am praying that I will not totally loose control with no stopper mechanisms in place to nibble all day and night...Promised myself last night - I'm getting back on the right track today, not eating because I'm hungry, mostly because it sounds or looks good...
Monday:
B - coffee frappachino protein drink, cinnamin roll
S - protein ball, 2 prunes
L - 1.5 oz italien shredded beef, 3 bites potato salad, 10 corn chips and 1/4 c
blackbean/corn salsa
S - protein ball, 10 potato chips
D - 2x2 piece eggplant parmasan
S - 1/2 c dark chocolate moose munch
Sunday :
cannot remember all the specifics of what I ate, was a bad graze day, sf cookie here and there, sf chocolate here and there, m & m here and there, and I'm sure something else I forgot because I was really grazing all day...
B - slice cantalope, slice bacon, sm croissant w/pumpkin butter
S - protein ball
L - 2 slices seminola cheese bread with artichoke lemon pesto spread
S - protein ball
D - apricot glazed pork roast, 4 bites of rice and gravy, 1/4 salad w/lite herb dressing
S - fruit protein smoothie
Both days all the usual liquids and vitamins...At least with these I can say I'm keeping on track...

Good Morning Lynn~
Yes, I walked 12 miles last Friday night. I've been training for this 1/2 marathon since about early May, when I did the 10K. If you wanted to do one on Thanksgiving, I totally think you have enough time, if you can dedicate the time. Doing the 12.4 miles took me about 3 1/2 hours. The race has a 4 hour time limit, so everything I've done is to make sure I come in right at, or before, the 4 hours. I figure that I should be able to finish the extra .7 of a mile in 30 minutes, although, I was walking about a 30 min. mile by the end since I was so tired. If you want some more specifics about training, let me know. I had a CA OHer help me out with exactly how to train and prep for it. Congrats on the size 10's!
You are doing great! I bought a size 10 skirt yesterday~ very tight through the hips, though. And, a pair of calf-high, high heeled boots! Glad you spent only about $100. My hubby is wishing that was the case for me, too!!!!
Have a wonderful day!
Kerri

Hi Ginger! Sorry to hear about your experience with the storm.
I haven't been good at all for over a week. Eating the wrong things and in the wrong amounts.
I am taking a serious turn with eating for the next 4 days. I know it's not the best, but at least I will get my 60 grams of protein in. Here it goes:
B - AchievOne Protein drink - 20 g pro
L - Stallone High Protein pudding - 20 g pro
D - AchievOne Protein drink 20 g pro
Of course, my vitamins and lots of water. I have to shrink my pouchie again.. I've been way off the charts and too ashamed to admit to what I ate...
Hugs,
Lucy

Thanks, Kerri
No unfortunatly my camera conked out and I couldnt get a picture. Which made me mad, my plan was to email my surgoen my before picture and a picture of me at a year and a picture of me at the race with a thank you note for all that this surgery has done for me. But I guess I wont get one of the race. But I will tell him about it. I saw on one of your other posts that you had walked 10 or 12 miles this weekend. Did that take you long? I am thinking about training to do a half marathon on Thanksgiving but I am not sure if I have the time for the training I would need to do. The shopping was fun. I got some shirts and a pair of size 10 jeans. Who would have ever thought that I could get my butt in a size 10. What a neat feeling.
Thanks
Lynn

Hi Lynn~
Woo Hoo for you!!!
Isn't doing a 10K a wonderful accomplishment! I was in tears as I crossed the finish line! Did you take pics? Way to go on both the mountain and the 10K. I just came back from shopping, so I hope you had fun...but, I hope you didn't spend nearly as much as I did!
Hugs,
Kerri

Topic: RE: Feelin' FAT!!!!
Ya know what Wendy...... I was in the middle of typing a reply to this post on Friday night but the power went out right in the middle of it! So....I'm gonna try this again.
When I picture myself in my mind... I still see the old me. When I look down at myself when i'm sitting down... i see nothing different - I see the same old me. I see other skinny people and wonder if I will ever get to look like that.
I'm wearing sizes 2 and 4
But I don't see what others see. I still see the old me. YET there are times I look in the mirror and grieve the loss of my a$$....or the plumpness of my cheeks (face).
I DO think plastics helped me somewhat with this. Before I had my arms done, i really obsessed about how my arms looked - everywhere i went...everything i did...everything I wore...it was all about the arms. Now, I'm happy about the arms. It's my tummy and legs that make me feel so huge and blobby.
I think i had a vision in my mind of what my legs would look like when i "arrived" at goal and when my legs got THERE, I would be done. But it didn't work out that way. I grab my tummy and pull it way out and show my hubby "Look at how much fat i still have" and he corrects me everytime "that's NOT FAT - that's SKIN" and then he goes on and on about how I'm too skinny. My legs STILL hang over my knees. That was one thing that i was really looking forward to being rid of after losing the excess weight. But, it never went away and in fact, it is worse now than before. My thighs dangle.... shaving them is such a chore!!! Pulling skin this way and that.... i hate it.
I wonder if I SHOULD put some weight back on...but I'm really struggling with that concept. A big part of me thinks I should keep 125 as my goal and try like hell to stick to that number.... JUST IN CASE there is a rebound gain anyway!
Hugs,
Pam

I'M BACK!!
I was typing a reply to Wendy's post Friday night when we lost power due to Ernesto. What a nasty storm! We were without power & running water...we have an electric stove....so no cooking. We found a campground nearby that still had power, so we packed up the 5 kids, the camper and the tent and went camping for the electricity and running water. Thank God everything is back to normal today. We had sooooooo much cleaning up to do...trees down everywhere.
Today, I had to pack up all the camping stuff and bring it all home. Get the house back in order...catch up on laundry....and get my hair dyed....so I was bad with the eating.
Venti triple decaf sugar free vanilla latte
chocolate hazelnut biscotti
Banana
Venti triple decaf sugar free vanilla latte
chocolate hazelnut biscotti
4 bites of hubby's black angus sub (quiznos)
The insides of a veggie melt sub (small)
a pack of special k bites (strawberry) 90 calories
a handful of Capt Crunch peanut butter
Yesterday....
I had a banana
A venti triple decaf sugar free vanilla latte
a chocolate hazelnut biscotti
a beef patty w/ grilled mushrooms & onion (from 5 guys)
6 fries dipped in vinegar
a cup of "O's" cereal
bad.... I need to get back into a routine or I'm worthless.
Hope everyone else is doing better!
Hugs,
Pam
