Hello Juners, I am very dissappointed I have only lost 51lbs to date I had my surgery on 6/30 I started out at 251 and thats all I've lost so far. I get my water, exercise, protein everything and still nothing. I went to the Dr last month and he said I am doing well but I just dont feel it. JUST want to tell you 51 lbs is awesome. YOUR doing great! DONT give up! DID you ever loose that much before on a diet recently???? in that short of time???? KEEP up the good work. KEEP this in mind. WE all loose differently, and those that started at much higher weights in the 300's, loose a bit more cause we have more to loose. We all also loose differently. I think your doing awsome as the average weight loss person looses approximately 10 lbs a month and thats where you are. YOUR looseing in a very healthy pace! STAY strong and your tool will work for you! (((HUG)))) LISA

Don't feel bad, I'm at 56 since surgery. But I refuse to feel sad about it, sure I would love it to be more, but as long as the numbers go down or stay the same I'm OK. How often do you weigh? My limit is once a week, that way even a slow loss will show a pound a week, LOL Are you wearing anything besides scrubs? I know my clothes sizes are changing faster than the scale. I'm sure last time I weighed 179 I did not wear a 10-12. PS - A great way to save money is to find someone that has a sewing machine, scrubs are very easy to take in, I'm changing jobs (to the OR) so won't need my own and haven't bought any new scrubs. Hun please do not get dissappointed, you are doing awesome. ~hugs~ Everyone loses weight at their own pace, times it slows down and others it speeds up. I think what Lisa said makes a lot of sense, the more you have to lose the more quickly it starts to come off. I hear someone say if your not over 300 lbs to start with you are considered a light weight and the weigh comes off slower. Well I started at 285 and I was NEVER called that. As long as your getting in all your needs then you are on track to your better life, I am sure you can really feeel the 51 lbs lost. Think about that WOW that is the size of a small child. CONGRATS on that hun Hang in there hun and just keep moving forward. ~Hugs~ Debra P

Hey Sweety, Please, don't be worried about your weight loss. As long as you following the rules, it will come off. I just believe that some of us (me included) lose at a slower rate. I have lost 61 lbs since surgery when I weight 230, and 70 from my highest weight of 239. I had my surgery just two days before you, so I think you are doing great! Just try to think about a time when you may have lost 51 lbs in 5 months. Was it ever? There you go. You will do great. I just came off that dreaded 4 month - hit the wall - stall. I lost 4 lbs last week. I am now at 169, and have been at this weight for a week now. I'm not worried though as this is the way my body does things. Keep your chin up. You are doing AWESOME! All the best, Debra 239/169/125

I feel a little discouraged sometimes reading this board too, but I usually just hold my head high and feel great when my DH calls me skinny, I am not, but I know I will be, I think I have had more to loose than alot of people, and my Doc says I am on track, sooo.. Keep your head high and don't be too discouraged! -Jaymie
